Charles Taylor is one of Britain's best-known makers of traditional wooden garden furniture, handcrafted on the edge of the Peak District. As an authorised Charles Taylor stockist with over 35 years in the trade, we carry the full range at Bench Store — garden benches, companion sets, dining sets, swing seats and arbours, each built to the same exacting standard.
Built for the British climate
Every piece is made from slow-grown, sustainably sourced Scandinavian redwood, pressure-treated and finished to withstand wet winters and long summers alike. Galvanised zinc fittings resist corrosion, and each bench carries a 10-year rot-free guarantee — the benchmark for outdoor furniture that's meant to stay outdoors, year after year.
Delivery and assembly
Charles Taylor pieces have a standard 7–14 working day lead time. Assembly varies by product. Our flat-packed Companion Sets are delivered with fixings and clear instructions for easy home assembly, while selected Companion Sets with cushions are delivered ready assembled. Other products may also be delivered assembled depending on the range. Every product page clearly shows the delivery and assembly information for that particular item.
