The Charles Taylor Extra Large Berwick Trough features a modern open-style design that creates a larger planting area, giving roots more space to establish and thrive. Its clean, practical form makes it ideal for gardens, patios and pathways where substantial planting is desired without excessive height.

Crafted from FSC-sourced timber and treated with a water-repellent preservative, this trough is designed for reliable outdoor use in the British climate. It can be lined with a heavy-duty refuse bag or weed membrane if required, helping retain soil and reduce weed growth. Supplied fully assembled, the trough measures 1030mm wide x 395mm deep x 300mm high, weighs 11.5kg and offers an approximate planting volume of 100 litres.

Product Details & Care

Your trough is supplied with one coat of a water-repellent preservative treatment. To help protect and extend the life of the timber, we recommend applying a suitable wood preservative periodically, depending on exposure and weather conditions. All compatible aftercare products are available from our online store.

Wood is a natural material and may expand or contract depending on weather conditions. As a result, natural characteristics such as cracking, splitting, warping or shrinkage may occur and cannot be considered faults. Periodic checking of fixings is recommended.

Occasionally, resin may appear in the timber. This is a natural occurrence and does not affect performance. If present, it can be removed using a cloth and white spirit.
