The Charles Taylor Prestbury Raised Square Planter (Large) is a neat, practical planter designed for flowers, herbs and compact planting schemes. Its raised square design offers easy access while creating a tidy, structured look for patios, gardens and outdoor seating areas.

Crafted from FSC-sourced timber and treated with an oil-based, water-repellent preservative, this planter is designed for reliable outdoor use in the British climate. Integrated drainage slats help promote healthy root growth, and the planter can be lined with a heavy-duty refuse bag or weed membrane if required. Measuring 475mm x 475mm x 420mm high and weighing 7.7kg, it provides an approximate planting volume of 46 litres, making it easy to position while offering useful planting capacity.

Product Details & Care

Your planter is supplied with one coat of the ‘Taylor Brown’ oil-based preservative. To help protect and extend the life of the timber, we strongly recommend applying an additional coat every 6–12 months. All suitable preservatives and aftercare products are available from our online store.

Wood is a natural material and may expand or contract depending on weather conditions. As a result, natural characteristics such as cracking, splitting, warping or shrinkage may occur and cannot be considered faults. Periodic checking of fixings is recommended.

Occasionally, resin may appear in the timber. This is a natural occurrence and does not affect performance. If present, it can be removed using a cloth and white spirit.
